Timeout on tutorial

I am trying to go thru the tutorial. I am running the cookie.cgi described here:

http://www.xarka.com/optiperl/help/usingtheremotedebugger.htm

I follow the instructions.. but I keep getting:
Quote OptiPerl Server Warning
This script was terminated because it ran more time then the maximum timeout limit you have set. If needed you can increase the timeout in the options dialog.
Here is the complete header:

I increased the time to 60 (tools/option/perl).. but still same message.

this is what my optiperl server log says:

* RUNNING *
* REQUEST *
GET /cgi-bin/cookie.cgi HTTP/1.1
Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, */*
Connection: Keep-Alive
Host: 127.0.0.1
Accept-Language: en
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
Cookie: animals=bear&1&baboon&1

* RESPONSE *
<Running C:\Program Files\OptiPerl\Webroot\cgi-bin\cookie.cgi. Here are it's headers:>
<script terminated by server after 10015ms>

any ideas?

Answer:
Right after you press the run command, what exactly happens? The correct thing would be for the debugger to make a connection, and immediately you would see the editor go to the running line and highlight it.

Make sure you have selected "Debug / Listen for remote debugger" and you can see it's Log window pop-up.
